The race will start off with a swim in the calm waters of Bowers Harbor on West Grand Traverse Bay. After exiting the water, racers will roll out onto the bike course which winds along orchards, vineyards, on the Old Mission Peninsula. Sprint-distance racers will turn around at 6.5 miles while Olympic racers enjoy spectacular views riding along both East and West Grand Traverse bays on their 24.8-mile, single-loop course. Olympic athletes will also be challenged by several significant hills on the bike course. Both Sprint and Olympic racers will run along Neahtawanta Road along Bowers Harbor, finishing the race at Bowers Harbor Park.
