Festival of Foods- Feb. 8

Join some of Traverse City’s culinary best at the 2014 Festival of Foods! Enjoy a full day of demonstrations, workshops and food discoveries with NMC’s culinary instructors, area chefs and specialty food businesses!

Select 4 from 16 delicious workshops in the teaching kitchen and classrooms of NMC’s Oleson Center. There will be tastings throughout the day!

Some of the highlighted workshops and tastings include:

  • Beijing Crepes with Pete Peterson (Tapawingo Restaurant)
  • Gnocchi with author and chef Nancy Krcek Allen
  • Cooking local without a recipe with Chefs Eric Patterson and Jennifer Blakeslee (The Cook’s House)
  • Homemade pasta and sauce with Mickey Cannon (Tuscan Bistro)
  • Lavender and its uses in the kitchen with Sonja Richardson (Harbor View Lavender Farm)
  • Sweets, treats, and spices demonstrated by Andi Pellicci (As You Dish)
  • Amazing vinegars and oils with Chef Andy (Fustini’s)
